Our Curriculum

Rising Stars Preschool provides differentiated instruction for every child. We offer a developmentally-appropriate academic curriculum filled with stimulating hands-on experiences to promote creativity and fun while learning.

All of our classes include music and movement, art and sensory activities while allowing children time to develop positive social interactions. Our entire program encourages children to learn creative and independent problem-solving techniques and to develop school-readiness skills that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. We accomplish this through our age-appropriate activities and dynamic discovery centers that allow children to experience the world around them using all of their senses.

Our Toddler Program (Ages 18 months - 3 years) is rooted in the fundamentals of early development, learning and socialization. It is designed to give children daily opportunities for sensory experiences and gross and fine motor development. Children develop verbal language skills and learn about shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and music. Teachers scaffold and facilitate children's intentional learning and play experiences throughout their day.

Our Preschool Program (Ages 3-5 years) is designed to build upon children's natural interests and curiosity to help them develop the necessary skills to succeed in Kindergarten. Our Preschool classes emphasize writing, pre-reading, math, science, history, geography, and health and safety. Our students will be introduced to social studies and diversity by learning about children and cultures from around the world. We know that these experiences will help develop positive self-esteem and an appreciation and respect for the needs of others. Many activities and projects center around favorite books, which creates a love for literature and improves children's pre-reading skills.

We believe that our teachers are our most important resource and therefore, we only employ highly-educated and well-qualified educators at Rising Stars. Our teacher-to-student ratio is lower than most schools, allowing us to have more individual quality time to guide, assess, and understand each child. We believe it is all of these aspects together that make Rising Stars a superior preschool.
