Enrichment Programs
Our Enrichment Program is an optional supplement to our core curriculum which provides more specialized and individualized development. These courses are taught by the same Rising Stars teachers you have come to know and love. These are just a few of the classes that may be offered each year.
Reading Lab is for our Pre-K students and is taught by our own, Mrs. Emery. The proven success of this program is largely due to Mrs. Emery's +30 years of teaching experience and working directly with preschool-aged children in addition to the low teacher-to-student class ratio which allows for lots of individualized attention to support children's pre-reading skills.
Cooking & Science Led by our own, Mrs. Emery, this hands-on class combines the fun of cooking with the curiosity of science! Each week, children become both chefs and scientist - measuring, mixing, baking, experimenting and discovering the magic that happens when learning meets play. Cooking & Science encourages curiosity, patience, and teamwork all while giving children a sense of accomplishment and joy in creating something of their own.
Enchanted World of Creation is taught by our own, Miss Marta. This music enrichments program provides every child with the opportunity to experience different kinds of music education. Active listening, singing, exploring rhythm through body movements, dancing, improvising, performance, creation and experiencing instruments. During the lessons, children experience and learn about music elements like melody, harmony, and rhythm which helps children build focus, coordination, and self-expression in a nurturing setting.
Artful Tale: Bringing Books to Life Through Art is taught by our own, Ms. Jody. Each week is a new adventure where stories leap off the page and into children's imaginations! We read fresh stories aloud (often from award-winning favorite) and then create fun art projects inspired from our story. This enrichment class blends literacy and art to help children connect words, pictures, and creativity in meaningful ways. Whether painting, building or crafting, students use their creativity and express their ideas and unleash their imagination!
